Neurosurgery Residency

The Weill Cornell Medicine Neurosurgery Residency Program provides training for clinical neurosurgery and related specialties, as well as the opportunity to participate in clinical and basic-scientific research, at the #1 neurosurgery program in New York (Newsweek/Statista 2022-2024). Each year, two to three residents are accepted into our training program, which provides seven years of clinical training and research with graduated responsibility and independence. Service is divided between NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, with more than 4,000 neurosurgical operations representing a wide range of procedures performed annually. The training experience here is simply unparalleled. See the list of current residents.

Prospective residents, please watch this video overview.

For the past seven years, we have also been selected as hosts of the East Coast Junior Neurosurgery Resident Boot Camp Training Program.
