Dr. Roger Hartl co-authored the August cover story, “Arachnoid Web of The Spine: A Systematic Literature Review,” with senior author Ali Baaj, MD, and co-authors Ibrahim Hussain, MD, Samuel Kim, MD, and then-medical-student Peyton Nisson.

Dr. Kaplitt was the senior author of the March 2019 cover story, “Focused Ultrasound Mediates Safe and Stable Non-Invasive Focal Gene Delivery to the Mammalian Brain.”
2018: Journal of Neurosurgery
Dr. Michael Kaplitt was senior author on “Clinical Improvement Associated With Targeted Interruption of the Cerebellothalamic Tract Following MR-Guided Focused Ultrasound for Essential Tremor,” co-authored by Levi Chazen, Robert Min, and Philip Stieg.

Dr. Mark Souweidane was the senior author on “Influence of an Intratumoral Cyst on Drug Distribution By Convection-Enhanced Delivery: Case Report,” the cover story of the September issue.
2015: Journal of Neurosurgery
Dr. Antonio Bernardo, director of our Neurosurgical Innovations and Training Center, co-authored this cover story, “A 3D Endoscopic Transtubular Transcallosal Approach to the Third Ventricle,” with Dr. Philip Stieg others.

Dr. Kaplitt worked with Nobel laureate Paul Greengard on "Reversal of depressed behaviors in mice by p11 gene therapy in the nucleus accumbens"
