Dr. Justin Schwarz has been named winner of the 2022 Philip E. Stieg Faculty Teaching Award for Dedication and Excellence in Resident Education. Dr. Härtl Named AANS Humanitarian of the Year

At the 2022 AANS meeting in Philadelphia, Dr. Roger Härtl was named Humanitarian of the Year for his work on global neurosurgery.

In awarding Dr. Härtl this honor, the AANS said:
“In addition to his great work in Tanzania, Dr. Härtl has led for the past 20 years an annual neurosurgery and spine training program for Eastern European surgeons in Salzburg, Austria, in conjunction with Cornell University and the American Austrian Foundation. Furthermore,...
